Welcome to Locale. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at www.localestores.com ("Site") and the purchase of products offered by Locale ("we", "us", or "our"), operating from Thrissur, Kerala, India – 680001.

By accessing this Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order on this Site. By using our Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you submit is accurate and truthful.

2. Products & Descriptions

All products sold on Locale are handcrafted in small batches using natural materials such as wrought iron, solid teak wood, and ceramics/pottery. Due to the handmade nature of our products:

Minor variations in dimensions, texture, grain, and finish are natural and expected — they reflect the "marks of making" that are central to our craft philosophy.
Product images on the Site are representative; actual colour and finish may vary slightly due to screen settings and natural material properties.
We reserve the right to discontinue or modify any product at any time without prior notice.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices on the Site are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to revise prices at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of checkout.

We accept payments through the secure payment gateways available at checkout. All transactions are processed in INR. Locale does not store your card or payment information on its servers.

4. Orders & Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is confirmed only when you receive an official order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, product unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity. In such cases, any payment collected will be fully refunded.

5. Bespoke & Custom Orders

Locale offers bespoke and custom-made pieces. Custom orders are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once the order has been confirmed and production has commenced, as each piece is uniquely crafted to your specifications. Any cancellation request for custom orders must be made within 24 hours of order placement.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including but not limited to text, photographs, product names, designs, graphics, and logos — is the exclusive property of Locale and is protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to use this Site to:

Engage in any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
Transmit any unsolicited promotional communications (spam).
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its systems.
Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Site without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Locale shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site or products purchased. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product in question.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Thrissur, Kerala, India.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
